We're putting sustainability at the forefront of all our operations.

At our Colt London 4 Data Centre, we prioritise sustainability in all our operations. To achieve this, we will power the entire hyperscale site with 100% renewable energy. Furthermore, the data centre is being developed to achieve a pre-construction BREEAM Excellent certification, ensuring top-tier sustainability performance.

Our commitment to Sustainability at London 4 Data Centre

In accordance with our new Global Reference Design (GRD) guidelines, this data centre is being constructed using a range of low embodied carbon principles:

Recycling rainwater, where required.

We will invest in vehicle charging points on premises and install solar panels to support the production of additional energy for onsite services. The facility will also have green areas to the enhance the landscape of local surroundings.

This approach supports our customer's sustainability requirements and addresses the environmental needs of the local community through sustainable solutions.

Once phase one of our Colt London 4 Data Centre is complete and operational, we will strive to get the site ISO 14001 (environmental management system) certified. 

On a global scale, Colt DCS has also achieved an “A-” score for our 2023 CDP climate submission. We have also gained a Platinum Rating with EcoVadis in 2023, and therefore places our organisation in the top 1% of global companies assessed.
